What ARC Is
  • A national carbon registry solution that lets countries manage carbon projects, units, reporting and transactions.
  • Digital infrastructure for carbon market governance — built for transparency, trust and interoperability.
  • Customizable to national regulatory and institutional requirements.
  • Free of charge in its showcase version (costs may apply for customization, hosting, support, integration, capacity building).
  • Full data sovereignty and national ownership of all carbon market data.
  • Designed as a digital public good — reusable, adaptable, built upon by countries.
  • Supports Article 6, voluntary carbon markets and domestic governance.
  • Interoperable with MRV systems, NDC tracking and other carbon data platforms (e.g. UNFCCC Art. 6.4 registry, Climate Action Data Trust).
What ARC Is NOT
  • Not a “Mother Registry”, “Meta Registry” or continental/global registry that overrides national ownership and governance.
  • Not a proprietary platform designed to lock countries into a specific vendor ecosystem.
  • Not a commercial off-the-shelf product requiring licensing fees to access the showcase.
  • Not a one-size-fits-all registry solution.
  • Not a license-based software model with recurring annual fees.
  • Not a system where data ownership or control resides with external entities.
  • Not a closed system with limited access to customization or future development.
  • Not an isolated standalone system that cannot exchange data with other platforms.
